FOR WHICH TIME FRAME CAN YOU BE BOOKED?

ANSWER

Depending on your schedule and according to your wishes you can book us for six hours and more. There is no time limit, you set the time frame. We are also happy to attend your celebration for several days (get-together, after-wedding-brunch etc.).

QUESTION

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE REACH OUT?

ANSWER

Most couples reserve their date between 8-18 months in advance. But there are also some spontaneous requests. Anyway, we highly recommend getting in touch sooner rather than later, especially for popular dates. Once you have your date and venue set feel free to drop us a line!

DO I NEED TO SIGN A CONTRACT? HOW DO WE BOOK?

ANSWER

Yes, of course! This way we make things official and we confirm that we are reserving your date for you. We require a signed contract and 50% retainer. The contract is viewable and can be signed online. Email us or use the contact form and we can start taking the next steps together. We can’t wait to hear about everything!

QUESTION

WILL THERE BE ONE ORE TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS ON YOUR TEAM AT OUR WEDDING?

ANSWER

We, Melanie and Emily, are always working as a two person team. This allows us to better capture and document the events of the day. With two of us, we can be in different places at the same time and also provide alternate perspectives. Should one of us be already booked for a wedding there is always a possibility to book a second shooter for your wedding day.

WHAT DOES YOUR WEDDING COVERAGE COST AND WHICH SERVICES ARE INCLUDED?

ANSWER

These services are included: All professional edited pictures (quantity depends on the wedding coverage) in high resolution (for printing) and web resolution (for websites/devices) Also a beautiful and password protected online gallery for you and your guests. For additional packages and detailed information please contact us via email.

HOW MANY HOURS DOES FULL DAY COVERAGE INCLUDE?

ANSWER

We define “full day” as beginning 60 to 90 minutes prior to you getting dressed through about 3o to 45 minutes of dance time, or just before things get sloppy (if you know what we mean). This usually works out to about 8 to 12 hours, but we will work together to determine the best timeline for your specific day. We want to be there to capture it all.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? CAN I BOOK YOU FOR A WEDDING ABROAD?

ANSWER

We currently live in Basel, Switzerland. Thus, we are doing weddings all over the country. However we love Destination Weddings and therefore we frequently shoot all over Europe and beyond. As we are located in Switzerland, Central Europe, we can travel everywhere very easily (and cost-effective). Wherever you’re getting married, We’ll go there! It’s a pleasure to travel there where the best day of your life takes place.

WE DON’T FEEL COMFORTABLE IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. HOW CAN YOU HELP?

ANSWER

We totally know how you feel. When it comes to your portraits, we’re just going to keep things fun and romantic! There’s no need for you to “model,” instead we’ll help guide you through things to do and ways to keep the focus on each other, not on the camera. This is one reason I highly recommend an engagement session–it’s the perfect way for us to get to know each other and for you to get a little practice in.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE? IS BLACK/WHITE POSSIBLE?

ANSWER

Our style is modern, natural, authentic, warm and timeless. Our goal is to capture the day not only through our lenses, but through yours as well–the colors and setting you’ve chosen, the weather, your energy–everything that makes your wedding unique. We think our photos have a bit of an “editorial” feel, but our goal is for each image to be a piece of art for you to keep and share forever. Some pictures will be edited in black and white when it fits the motive. Feel free to have a look at our work on our page.

CAN YOU RECOMMEND SOME VIDEOGRAPHERS/FLORISTS/CATERERS/ETC. THAT YOU LOVE?

ANSWER

Big yes. We have a ridiculously detailed planning guide that we will send you that walks you through the day and includes an extensive list of our favorite vendors in the area.

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?

ANSWER

For most weddings, We deliver between 500-1’000 photos (depending on the time frame). For portrait sessions you can expect between 75-100. You will receive the best photos of your wedding day. All of your images are delivered through a really beautiful online gallery, after that they’re yours forever! You can download and share as often as you want.

WILL ALL PICTURES BE EDITED?

ANSWER

Yes, you will receive all photos edited and in high and low resolution (for printing and web/devices).

DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS? WHAT ABOUT PRINTS?

ANSWER

Yes! We firmly believe that you should have a printed copy of your photos. You can order a custom album through us, but there is also an option to design your own album or order prints through your gallery, which is pretty cool. Of course you can make your decision of ordering an album after your wedding as well. Albums are always personal and unique. You also buy an album as a gift for your parents or for your anniversary.

QUESTION

WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE? DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

ANSWER

We work with professional equipment and use Nikon gear and we always bring backups! Our equipment is combined with different fixed lenses. We also use flash lights if necessary. We do have liability insurance and can provide a certificate for your venue upon request.

DO YOU USE FLASHES VERY OFTEN OR NATURAL LIGHT?

ANSWER

For weddings we prefer natural light, but we use flashes when the light isn’t adequate.

WHEN WILL WE GET THE PHOTOS AFTER OUR WEDDING?

ANSWER

We deliver your photos within four to maximum eight weeks. But don’t worry. We always give our couples a little sneak peek of 30 to 50 pictures a couple of days after the wedding. After all, anticipation is half the fun.

YOU MENTIONED AN ONLINE GALLERY. HOW DOES THIS WORK?

ANSWER

Your personal and password protected online gallery is launched within four to maximum eight weeks after your wedding. The pictures will be ready for download without watermarks and without extra costs.

CAN WE MEET BEFORE BOOKING?

ANSWER

Absolutely! For us even a must. There is nothing more important than that we’re a good match and have the same ideas on how the pictures should be. Mainly though, we would like to learn about YOU as a couple at a first meeting and about your relationship and not yet discuss the whole detailed process. Every minute that we get to know each other better helps you to feel more comfortable in front of the camera. If you are living abroad we can skype/facetime as well.

DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH ANY DETAILS?

ANSWER

Yes, of course! There are lots of details throughout the day that we capture. The day starts with bridal details (dress, shoes, rings, jewelry, invitation suite, etc.) and groom details (suit, shoes, watch, etc.). There are lots of venue details and also those of the ceremony and reception. All the little details throughout the day get captured.
