A Week to Remember: Curating Luxury Wedding Experiences in Switzerland
Last week was nothing short of extraordinary. Together with Switzerland Tourism, we at Kuenzli Photography had the privilege of documenting a one-of-a-kind journey designed to inspire top international wedding planners and introduce them to the elegance, hospitality, and magic of Switzerland as a high-end wedding destination.
From the moment the planners arrived in Zurich to the final breathtaking views of St. Moritz, the week was filled with curated experiences, unforgettable landscapes, and incredible hospitality. Our team – Melanie, Stephanie, and Max – captured every highlight in both photo and video, creating visual memories that reflect the emotional depth and beauty of this journey.
Zurich – Sophistication Meets Tradition
The experience began with a warm welcome at the iconic The Dolder Grand, host and partner for the first two nights. This legendary 5-star hotel offered an exceptional setting for the planners to settle in and enjoy an exquisite welcome dinner, accompanied by a speech that set the tone for the inspiring days ahead.
On Tuesday, the group explored Zurich’s Old Town with a private guided city tour, discovering the charm, heritage, and sophistication of the city. Lunch was served at the elegant and historic Haus zum Rüden, offering authentic Swiss cuisine in a noble setting.
In the afternoon, we visited Gübelin Jewellery in Zurich for a private presentation of their rare and masterfully crafted pieces – a true showcase of Swiss precision and artistry.
As the sun began to set, we headed to Buech Herrliberg, a traditional Swiss gem nestled above Lake Zurich. With panoramic views, refined wines, and authentic Swiss dishes, the planners experienced the country’s culinary charm at its finest.
St. Moritz – Alpine Elegance Redefined
On Wednesday, the journey continued by train to St. Moritz, one of Switzerland’s most exclusive wedding destinations. The planners checked into the legendary Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, a venue synonymous with glamour, history, and alpine luxury.
Here, the group was given a private tour of the property and experienced the grandeur that makes Badrutt’s Palace an exceptional location for destination weddings and multi-day wedding celebrations. The dramatic mountain views, luxurious interiors, and impeccable service left a lasting impression on all.
Throughout the week, the atmosphere was filled with creativity, connection, and inspiration. Wedding planners from New York, Lako Como, London, Monaco, Shanghai, French Riviera, and beyond shared their perspectives, exchanged ideas, and formed relationships that will continue to shape future weddings in Switzerland.
We at Kuenzli Photography are proud to have partnered with Switzerland Tourism to visually document this journey – and to help position Switzerland as a powerful and poetic canvas for unforgettable love stories.

A Morning of Inspiration at The Dolder Grand
On Wednesday morning, an inspiring networking breakfast took place at the iconic Dolder Hotel in Zurich, bringing together top Swiss wedding planners and talented service providers from the local wedding industry.
Felix from Faytastic Wedding (faytasticwedding) and Ana from Ana Toniolo Weddings (anatonioloweddings) shared valuable insights and personal experiences from their work as wedding planners in Switzerland. Their stories sparked great conversations and offered fresh perspectives on the evolving landscape of weddings in the region.
Our guests also had the chance to meet two of Switzerland’s most sought-after creatives: the incredibly talented florist Tabea Maria-Lisa (@tabeamarialisa) and cake designer Olivia from A Cake Story (@a_cake_story). Olivia delighted everyone by bringing along one of her signature creations — a beautifully crafted cake, complete with delicious tasting samples that were as stunning as they were tasty.
It was a morning full of inspiration, connection, and shared passion — a true celebration of Switzerland’s vibrant wedding scene.
St. Moritz – Alpine Elegance and Winter Magic
From Zürich, we embarked on a truly unforgettable train journey to the alpine paradise of St. Moritz. Seated in a beautifully restored historic carriage, we enjoyed a relaxed and scenic ride through the snow-covered Swiss landscape. A delicious lunch was served on board, accompanied by spectacular views – a serene and luxurious way to travel into the heart of the Alps.
Upon arrival at the St. Moritz train station, the iconic Badrutt’s Palace Hotel welcomed us in true five-star fashion. Bellboys dressed in traditional uniforms greeted us on the platform and escorted us up to the hotel in three elegant vehicles. As we entered the grand lobby, we were served warm tea and champagne – a gesture that immediately set the tone for the exceptional hospitality that would follow.
The first afternoon at Badrutt’s began with tea and a light meal at a beautifully set table featuring refined silverware and delicate floral touches. The group was then taken on an exclusive private tour of the hotel, discovering the rich history, refined architecture, and breathtaking suites that make Badrutt’s Palace one of the most prestigious wedding venues in Switzerland.
Later that evening, we descended into the hotel’s legendary wine cellar, where a sommelier introduced us to a curated selection of rare wines. We tasted three exceptional vintages and explored the vaulted rooms of the cellar – a unique and intimate experience that connected us to the hotel's deep-rooted legacy.
The following morning was straight out of a winter fairy tale. We began the day with a horse-drawn carriage ride through the snowy landscape, slowly making our way to the gondola station. From there, we ascended into the mountains by gondola, and as we reached the top, a pristine winter wonderland awaited us. Blankets of snow surrounded us as we hiked gently to the chic Paradiso Mountain Club & Restaurant.
At Paradiso, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a cozy alpine ambiance. A classic Swiss fondue lunch was served alongside wintery blue-toned wedding décor – a perfect inspiration for couples dreaming of an elegant winter wedding in the Alps. The setting was both refined and romantic, showcasing how beautifully mountain magic can meet luxury event styling.
That evening, the planners dressed in their finest for a gala dinner organized by Badrutt’s Palace – a magnificent celebration of taste and elegance. We began the evening with a caviar tasting featuring three exclusive varieties, followed by a multi-course culinary journey that exceeded all expectations. The setting, the service, and the food reflected the very essence of Swiss excellence.
Farewell Like in a Movie
On the final day, we gathered one last time for a brunch that felt straight out of a film – a long, beautifully set table overflowing with fresh breads, fruits, cheeses, and every indulgence one could wish for. There was a shared sense of joy, connection, and creativity in the air – a fitting finale to an extraordinary week.
Some planners departed for the airport, while others returned to the Dolder Grand for one last moment of serenity. As goodbyes were exchanged, something meaningful lingered: new friendships, exciting future collaborations, and conversations full of possibility.
This experience was more than a familiarization trip – it was a celebration of connection, culture, and creative vision. Through every photo and video we created, we aimed to reflect not only the beauty of Switzerland but also the emotional richness and luxury potential this country holds for destination weddings.
